If zinc does not reacts with some specific acids then give its reason.

Zinc does not react with nitric acid because Nitric acid is a strong oxidising agent.  It oxidises the hydrogen gas formed by the reaction of zinc with nitric acid to water and itself gets reduced to an oxide.
