Image formed in a photographic camera is:
(a) virtual and diminished
(b) real and magnified
(c) real and diminished
(d) sometimes real and sometimes virtual

The answer given as correct in the lab manual is (c). But how is it possible, shouldn't it be (d) since convex lens is able to produce both real as well as virtual image?

since images are taken of distant object  the image will be formed at the focus (object at infinity) . as the lens is convex, the nature will be real and diminished.

In a photographic camera, the object is always placed beyond 2F1 (not at infinity) by convention. So the image will be produced between F2 and 2F2 and will be real and inverted.
