Dear Alexander,
I write this letter with a very heavy heart on the tragic demise of my daughter. My precious daughter is no more and it is all because of me. I did not approve of her love towards the Chief and instead sent my men to slain him and bring my daughter back. She had run away with him because I did not give an approval to their marriage. I regret having said 'No'. Why did I do it? I hate myself for this.
She and the Chief had tried to escape in a boat during the storm and that was the end of it. My pretty daughter drowned in the wretched sea. She reached out to me for help but I could do nothing to save her. In front of my eyes my poor daughter died.
This very scene haunts me day after day. I feel her calling out to me every night. I cannot sleep. I cannot eat. I don't know what to do. My life is deprived of all happiness.
Your friend,
Lord Ullin
