Dear Diary,
Today was a great day for me as I was sworn in the first President of South Africa. As I took my oath, I introspected myself and realised that it was a long walk to freedom. The whole country had suffered and struggled to attain this freedom. As a small boy I did not know the meaning of freedom and thought I was free because I could play in my father's fields. But as a young man I realised the true worth of freedom. All around me people were suffering and then I pledged to change their lives. For this I had to change myself first and I did that. Because of my hunger for freedom I changed and started struggling to free everyone. This helped me to do what I have done.
