in a dry cell circuit does the current flow from negative to positive if not why is it​ shown in the diagram in meritnation study material magnetic fields of a solenoid

In a dry cell current can only flow from positive to negative terminals and electrons can flow from negative to positive so the current flows in the opposite direction of electron flow.
Now current can flow in clockwise and anti-clockwise direction now if one sees beside the solenoid then polarity south and north changes with the change of direction of current flow respectively .
 
Hope you understand that how the polarity changes with the change of direction of current in a solenoid and remember in a dry cell always current flows from positive to negative .
Therefore here in the above diagram the direction of current is in wrong direction and you know that errors can occur as we are human being .
