In an orchard 16 2/3 % of the trees are apple trees. If the no. of trees in the orchard is 240 , find the no. of other types of trees in the orchard?
Given, Percentage of apple trees in an orchard =
Total number of trees = 240
Number of apple trees in the orchard
Number of apples trees in the orchard + Number of other type of trees in the orchard = 240
∴ 40 + Number of other type of trees in the orchard = 240
⇒ Number of other type of trees in the orchard = 240 – 40 = 200
Thus, the number of other type of trees in the orchard is 200.
