in conidiophore what is function of sterigmata and metullae?

Dear student,
Please find below the solution to the asked query

Sterigmata are the extensions of spore bearing cells. These consist of a filament and a slender end with spores attached at the tip. They have the supportive function i.e they hold the spores and connect spores with basidium.

Metulae are the outermost branches of conidiophore from which phialides arise. They also have supportive function and they support phialides in fungi.
