  • Individual cyanobacteria are a single cell. Some types of cyanobacteria grow in colonies, that is, they get together.
  • Gelatinous sheath is the layer which is the outer most part compared to others. This sheath is also known as mucilaginous. You may refer to the picture given in NCERT book for easy understanding.
