In group 16 crystal stability decrease due to inc in size difference then why BP inc from H2S to H2Te?

Dear Student,

H2Te has a higher boiling point than H2S because, both the compounds have London forces as well as â€‹Dipole-Dipole forces of attraction (van der Waal forces). Now, as we know that these forces increases with the increase in size. And, as these forces of attraction increases the boiling point increases.

Hope this information clears your doubts about the topic

Keep asking!!
