we know that energy is given as

now,

total energy used by 5 tube lights in 30 days

E₁ = 5 x 40 x 5 x 30 = 30000 Wh = 30 kWh

and

total energy used by an electric press

E₂ = 1 x 500 x 4 x 30 = 60000 Wh = 60 kWh

thus, total energy consumed

E = E₁ + E₂ = 30 kWh + 60kWh

so,

E = 90 kWh
