In IVF the ovum is fused with the sperm which are collected in petridish, but how the semen which contains sperm cells are collected from the male body? Kindly answer sir/mam.

The sperm sample is best collected by masturbation. The sample is then placed in a sterile bottle and maintained at a body temperature until it reaches the laboratory. Some times a fresh sample is collected immediately.,or some times the sample is freezed and stored for future use.
