Hi, For ax2+bx+c = 0 quadratic formula is x = -b±b2-4ac2anow here the the part ax2 and particularly x2 implies that it is quadratic equation and so along with coefficient of x2, that is a must not be 0 and hence ax2 is responsible for generating two differenrt zerosthat is because if a = 0 or no term containing x2 , will make equation as bx+c =0 a linear equation
