In the chapter the following is given as the state of matter for plasma.

  • State consisting of super-energetic and super-excited particles

It says that particles are super energetic implying they have a high kinetic energy implying further that they have a high velocity as mass is constant. But later in one of the questions the answer is given as Gaseous state having maximum energy at high temperature. This is a contradiction of stated facts. Please clarify which is the correct answer and why.

Super energetic particles, would imply that particles, possessing high kinetic energy, and thus, high velocity. Super excited particles, would imply that, the particles are ionized, which means that, ions are formed and they are in highly energetic states.
