IN THE POEM "A SLUMBER DID SPIRIT MY SEAL"----CLASS IX
What does the poem mean by "rolled round in earth's diurnal course with rocks and stones and trees? Does the poet feel that his dearest one is safe in the hands of the mother nature???is this a right explanation !!!!! PLS ANSWER FASTT!!!

Dear Student,
In these lines, the poet has explained the bitter truth of death. He accepts the fact in grief that Lucy is no more and she will be merged with the earth and earthly elements like rocks, stones and trees to move around with it. Although he accepts the truth of separation from beloveds due to death but he is full of grief and sadness that he had taken things for granted and never imagined the pain of being separated from loved ones.

Hope this helps.

Regards
