My Nose - Gabriel Liebermann The speaker feels regretful about his long and ugly nose because wherever he goes people make fun of him mockingly. Whereas at the same time he feels happy having it because it depicts his long life and grandeur which adores his mother. The speaker and nose are stuck together forever whether for worse or the best. The nose also gives him a royal and noble look which makes the lady swoon.

The speaker is very proud of his nose, he thinks that his mother adores his nose and his nose always made ladies impress and some people say that his nose is bigger  than elephants and rhinoceros , he also praised himself by saying that his nose gives him a regal look and whenever he sneeze the tress around him lose their leaves.

According to me, the speaker feels sad about having such a big nose. In the poem,he feels bad for having such a long and ugly nose because whenever he goes people make fun of him. But in the poem, the speaker father tell him that there are more big things to regret. So the speaker, also make fun of his nose by saying that whenever he sneeze, the trees around him lose their leaves. Also, he tells that people tells that they have seen smaller noses on elephants and rhinoceroses than that of nose he have.
