in this experiment, the seeds need co2 for respiration.however,we need to close the flask.so how do the seeds get air for repiration?plz help!

seeds dont need co2 they release co2 and it is anerobic respiration that doesnt need air

in this experiment we have to prove that CO2 is given out ...not taken during respiration.....they don't even need air bcoz it is anaeronic respiration which takes placewithout oxygen or air.....

well no, both of you are wrong.......they use the air which is inside the conical flask...which is covered with a cork, because closing it with a cork doesnt remove the air in it......

germinating seeds unlike well grown plants, need oxygen for taking in and release co2.

oxygen is taken in from the air already present in flask

the co2 released by germinating seeds due to respiration is observed by potassium hydroxide
