in what way is india secularism different from other democratic countries ??

Like indiamost of the democratic countries of the world like lay emphasis on secularism. Foe example, the us constitution prohibits the legislature from making laws in respect of establishment of religion or exclusion of any religion. There is a clear separation between state and the religion and none can interfere in the affairs of another .There is a significant difference between secularism practised in india and usa. In usa the separation between state and religion is more rigid than in india .In india the state can interefere in religious affairs for doing away with long standing social and religious injustices like untouchability , and unequal treatment to women in the case of inheritance of property,

 In american secularism,Government cannot interfere at all in religious matters and affairs. While in India, constitution can also intervene and abolish certain misbeliefs being practised in a particular religion.
