In which parts of india cotton is found

Dear Student,

In India, cotton is mainly grown in three distinct agro-ecological zones, namely,
  • Northern (Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan),
  • Central (Gujarat, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh) and
  • Southern zone (Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka)
Of these, Maharashtra is the largest and most traditional producer of cotton.
