Our Exports Consisted of Raw Materials which were exported for the industries in Britain . We no longer Exported Handicrafts or the other Finished Products (i.e. silk, cotton,ivory ,precious stones ,jewellery).
Our Imports were Finished Machine Made Good which were Cheaper & could be prepared in Bulk. thus we became a net exporter of primary goods (i.e.raw material) & net Importer of Finished Goods .
