Shahid was an exceedingly gregarious fellow; he had many friends whose company he cherished; he was the center of a perpetual carnival. Ever since he had been diagnosed with brain tumor, he had decided to celebrate the rest of his life jubilantly in the company of his friends and relatives. Quite frequently half-dozen or more people would gather at his apartment. There would be poetry, talks, singing, and discourses. Shahid would have delicious dishes cooked for his friends.
