Is mineral water a conductor of electricity and if it is then why ?

To conduct electric current through the water, it must contain ions (cations and anions) which are the charge carrier. The mineral water contain ions, like sodium ion etc, hence it can conduct current. Any pure water like distilled water does not contain any ion, so it does not conduct current.
