Is reason the correct explanation of Assertion here? Please explain.

Dear student,
It is a correct statement that India is located in centre between East Asia and West Asia.
Reason is also correct because India is connected with other countries through land route from ancient times
But here reason does not clearly explains assertion.
therefore your answer would be assertion and reason both are correct but reason does not explain assertion
