Is rubber a hard material or soft material?

There are two types of materials: hard and soft. 
Hard material are difficult to compress  e.g. diamond, wood, steel, etc. 
Soft materials which can be compressed easily e.g. cotton, rubber, etc.
So, rubber is a soft material.
