is the poet happy with his decision or does he regret it?
2. what does the word sigh imply?

Dear student,

The poet was completely happy and satisfied with his decision of treading on the road that has never been travelled by. He wants to know the unknown and discover beyond the already known horizon.

In the final stanza we find that the poem ends with a sigh. It is because the speaker was in a dilemma after choosing one of the roads. He did not know where the road that he has chosen, will lead to in the future. He was not sure whether it would bring good fortune and make him happy or bring some misfortune for which he will have to repent afterward. In any decision taken in life we can only hedge our bets by thinking we can always come back and try a different option later. However, sometimes our choices take us to other consequences and it's impossible for us to go back over our steps and arrive back at that unique place.

Regards

the decision had brought a lot of difference in in his life, the poet seems to be happy about it although he has not mentioned weather it was positive or negative.
