Is there any difference between joint stock company and joint venture

Dear Student
These two are completely different forms of business.
  • A JOINT STOCK COMPANY can be described as an artificial person, having a separate legal entity, perpetual succession, and a common seal.
  • When two or more independent firms together establish a new enterprise by pooling their capital, technology and expertise, it is known as a joint venture.

Hope this information clarifies your doubts. Keep posting :-)
