Eyes do not see, our brain see.
Eyes only receives lights and image is formed in it, but actually our brain sees the thing.
Even with our eyes closed, during sleep we see images in dreams.

Some snake form thermal image and see the thing by temperature differance.eg. rat ( warm blooded animals )
Even in modern science some light sensitive electrodes developed and connected to the brain via nerve and blind man may be visualised the thing, this is still in experimental stage.
