Kinetic energy is maximum in gases. Why?

What is mixed fractoin

Because gases have high intermolecular space between them

Heya Mate,
Here's your answer :

We know that the particles which have more intermolecular space moves on faster thus it produces more kinetic energy as compared to the particles which have less intermolecular space. And also particles(atoms and molecule) in gas more in a random manner.?Thus their total energy is also the highest.

And that's the reason the K.E of gases is more than that of solids.

First, let's know what's kinetic energy?

It is simply an energy that is possessed by objects when the objects are in motion.

Now that you have asked why are kinetic energy maximum in gases, it's due to it's loosely packed molecules that form its composition. So, due to, it being loose and free, it can move the most, compared to solids and liquids. This is the basic explanation I remember from lower grades. If you want to explain it briefly, you may give an example of how gases, solids and liquids move and comparison on this basis.

Hope it helps you!

In gas state, the molecules can freely move around and thus have a higher speed. In solid state, molecules are held closely together and their motion is restricted, hence having a lower speed. Therefore kinetic energy of a gas molecule is greater than the solid molecule, provided that they have the same mass.

kinetic energy is maximum in gas because;the particles of gas are moving very rapidly since kinetic energy is a energy which is obtained from the moving particles

It is because gases have high intermolecular space between them and the least intermolecular force of attraction. Gas molecules randomly constantly move around.

This is because gases have high intermolecular spaces between them abd least intermolecular forces of attraction.

Kinetic energy is maximum in gasses because the particles of the air has the maximum space between them.

?Gas? is one of the state of matter in which the particles have tendency to show the random motion in the container they filled. This is because of their ?high kinetic energy? that increases the intermolecular distance between particles and decreases the intermolecular force of attraction. ?

Due to ?high kinetic energy? and ?tendency? to show the random motion, the gaseous state of substance can easily diffuse whereas this property is negligible in solid and lesser in liquid state. ?

IT IS BCZ OF THE THE GASES HAVE MORE INTERMOLECULAR SPACE. SO THE PARTICLES CAN MOVE AROUND. SO THE WHEN THE PARTICLES MOVE AROUND, THEY GENERATE ENERGY .

HOPE IT HELPS YOU IN A POSITIVE DIRECTION !!!!!!! :)

Due to large interparticle spaces between the particles ...n weak interparticle forces of attraction between them..
