Lichen show symbiotic life between the two organisms namely fungi and algae. Fungi belongs to kingdom fungi and algae belong to kingdom plantae. 

Symbiotic relationship is the relation between two organism in a way that both are benefited. For example in lichens algae supplies nutrients to the fungi, and fungi provides protection to algae.
