Liver is the largest organ in the body. It performs many several roles for maintaining health. It is one of the accessory organs of the digestive system.
Liver is involved in the digestion of fats. Bile is produced continuously by the liver and it is stored in the gallbladder. During fat digestion, it is emptied from the gallbladder into the duodenum through the bile duct. Though bile does not have any it has bile salts which helps for the digestion of fats and lipids.
