Features of coins during Magadha period:-
The two common symbols the sun and the six- armed symbol were used.
It is in this Series that we come across for the first time coins with the later standard five punch-marks.
The sun symbol shows oblique rays while the six- armed symbol depicts three arrow- heads and three ellipses.
