Methods to reduce dependence on monsoons are as follows :
a) Proper economical irrigational facilities . This can considerably reduce monsoon dependency . River linked water projects also needs to be done .
b) Agricultural research and alternative and scientific modes of cropping can lead to invention of water saving techniques of agriculture .
c) Adoption of modern technology which can help crops sustain in harsher weather conditions .
