Mention the effect of pituitary hormone on primary follicle, Graafian follicle and corpus luteum
The pituitary hormones FSH and LH effect the growth and development of primary follicle, Graffian follicle and corpus luteum.
- FSH stimulates the growth of primary follicles into graffian follicles in the ovary.
- LH induces the rupture of graffian follicle and thereby the release of ovum called ovulation.
- Both FSH and LH help in the formation of corpus luteum from graffian follicles.
