Mention the location and the functions of the following:
i. Incus
ii. Vitreous humour
iii.Iris

Dear student,
  • Incus- It is one of three bones found in the middle ear. It is the middle bone that connects the malleus to the stapes. Thus, it receives the vibration from the malleus and transmits it to stapes.
  • Vitreous humour - It is a colorless, transparent, jelly-like substance. It is found in the space between the lens and the retina. The main function of vitreous humour is to protect the eye and help in maintaining its spherical shape.
  • Iris- It is a colored membrane found behind the cornea and at the point of the lens. The primary function of the iris is to regulate or adjust exposure.
