The solution for the 2nd & 3rd part has been mentioned below-
Somatotroph-
- Location- Growth hormone is a protein hormone of about 190 amino acids that is synthesized and secreted by cells called somatotrophs in the anterior pituitary.
- Functions-
- It is a major participant in the control of several complex physiologic processes, including growth and metabolism.
- It is also of considerable interest as a drug used in both humans and animals.
- Location-
- The heart is surrounded by a double membrane called pericardium and the space between these membranes is filled with the fluid called pericardial fluid.
- It acts as a shock absorber and protects the heart from damage.
- Functions- The pericardium has several functions-
- Prevents the heart from over-expanding when blood volume increases.
- It lubricates the epicardial surface allowing the membranes to glide over each other with each heart beat.
- The pericardium plays an important role in cardiac changes during inspiration.
