Mention two forms of precipitation in nature when the temperature of air is very low
Solution:
- Precipitation is the process in which the big water droplets (from condensed vapours) or freezed water droplets (snow flakes) due to cold air in the atmosphere falls on the earth due to gravitation.
- Example:smog, hail, sleet.
- Hail: Hail or Hailstones are lumps of ice ranging from the size of a small marble to a cricket ball (even larger ) which fall to the Earth in the form of precipitation. They are formed when raindrops are cooled so that they freeze into lumps.
- Smog: Smog is a term created by combining the words smoke and fog; it describes pollutants that are low in the atmosphere which can create a visible haze.
