The disease is an uncomfortable and unusual condition of the body of an organism which is caused due to some structural or functional disorder.

A Disease comes with abnormal structural and functional changes in the body. These signs such as headache, fever, loose motions etc. help in early diagnosis of disease and are called signs and symptoms of the disease.

Symptoms are of two types:
1. Organ-specific and tissue-specific: After entering the body, the infectious agents reach the target cells, tissues or organs that they would infect. The organ that they attack is related to the point of their entry in body. e.g. The bacteria that causes tuberculosis enters through the respiratory passage and thus, attacks lungs. The exception to this is the AIDS virus which enters through sexual contact but affects lymph nodes.
