Mr Crocker Harris is an unpopular but a good teacher . How do you view such teachers ? what do you expect a teacher to do ?

A teacher who is good, but unpopular is quite useless. Due to his/her unpopularity, he/she will never be able to relate to the students. The students will therefore show no interest in his/her classes and never learn anything, regardless of how good a teacher they are. A good teacher should act as someone a student trusts, almost like a friend. He/she must also be empathetic enough to understand the needs of the student and must have a sense of humour, and not too serious. But being humorous and empathetic, the teacher is relatable. Knowledge passes from the teacher to the student easily, as they perceive the act of learning as 'fun' and rather than looking at it as dull and boring.
