Mukesh finally had a roof over his head to live. Having come from utter poverty, meager meals and a life of misery, this pleasant change had made Mukesh very happy. He was excited and proud to show his house to the author. This shows his happiness and welcoming behavior.

mukesh house is built in slum area . the lanes stink with garbage . the homes there are hovels with crumbling walls , woobly doors and no windows. theser are crowded with families of humans and animals. most of these houses are shack or houts . mukesh is proud that his house is being rebuilt . his eye shines as he volunteers to take the author to his home
