Adaptations allow a plant to live in a particular habitat. Desert plants have thorns and small leaves or no leaves to save water. To evaporate excess water, all plants have stomata through which water would evaporate to remove excess water and at the same time during water scarcity or draught, the stomata would get closed to save water from evaporation.
