When Louis XVI called a meeting in the town hall, 3rd estate members said that the bill to increase the taxes was biased as due to the feudal system only 3rd estate had to pay taxes, so they all assembled at a tennis court in the Versailles and took an oath that they would not break away until a constitution of France was established. After this event on 14th of July 1791, the people stormed into the Bastille and thus the revolution started.
