Part 1 : Both asexual and sexual reproduction has variation but more variation is seen in sexual reproduction and variation in asexual reproduction is very very less.

Partt 2 : The reason for the variation seen in the offsprings is that in the sexual reproduction when the fusion takes place the chromosomes of male and female parent cross over and a kind of linkage is the. That linkage and crossing over is responsible for the variation.

Part 3 : The variation helps in survival of species : Suppose when the atmospheric condition changes suddenly and adversely for a species of bacteria; only some individuals survive. This is because they had variation in there DNA that helped in there survival and helped them to cope to the condition.
