Ok. Give me some points to keep in mind while writing an essay in an exam. Last time my marks were deducted for writing something "too imaginary."

Dear student,
Such questions are meant to test your writing skills and should be attempted on your own. However, these points might help you elaborate:

- A good essay has a clear introduction, a body and then a conclusion.
- Read the question twice to understand what the topic is: as long as the matter refers to the given topic, you are within safe limits.
- A good essay presents a point of view followed by an example to support it.
- Different paragraphs use different points to explain and support the stand you have taken.
- Using famous quotes, viewpoint of experts, adding statistical data and facts make for a good essay.
- You could try and use figurative language too.
- Ensure that teh cocnlusion is not vague: either give a clear stand of your own or you could leave the decision to the reader based on your arguments.
- The focus changes with the type of essay you are writing: descriptive, biased argument, balanced argument, etc.
