Phenolphthalein become colourless in both neutral and acidic solution, then how to know wheather it's neutral or acidic?

Solution
Phenolphthalein is an indicator which is used to distinguish between acidic and basic solutions. It remains colourless in neutral and acidic solutions but becomes pink in basic solution.
To determine whether a solution is neutral or acidic, dip blue litmus paper into it. If the colour of litmus paper changes to red, it can be concluded that the solution is acidic. However, if the colour of litmus paper remains unchanged, the solution is neutral.
