plants produce oxygen as well as consume it. how are the other organisms able to survive on in this case.

Dear Student
Plants also like other organisms take in oxygen and give out carbon dioxide in the process of respiration. But during day plants perform photosynthesis in which they take in carbon dioxide and give out Oxygen as a waste product. The quantity of Oxygen given out is much more than what is taken in for respiration. In the same way quantity of carbon dioxide taken in is much more than what is given out. Hence in this way other organisms are able to survive as there is large quantities of Oxygen given out during photosynthesis.

Hope it helps
