Please answer:

a. What happens when metal A is placed in silver nitrate solution?
b. Compare the reactivity of metal C and Zinc.
c. What happens when Silver is placed in the solution of a salt of metal B?
d. Which is the most reactive metal?
e. Arrange the metals in the decreasing order of reactivity

Dear Student,

a) Since metal A displaces Fe and Cu from FeSO4 and CuSO4 but cannot displace Zn from ZnSO4 this means,A is more reactive than Fe and Cu but less active than Zn.
Hence it cannot displace Ag from AgNO3 solution. Since Ag is less active metal than Fe and Cu
b) C displaces Al from Al2(SO4)3 as well as Ag from AgNO3 solution.
Hence it will also displace Zn from ZnSO4.
This means C is more reactive than Zn
c) If Ag is placed in a salt solution of B, then no displacement reaction occurs.
Since metal B is more reactive than Cu. Hence it must be more reactive than Ag
d) Metal C is more reactive since it displaces Al from its salt solution.
e) Reactivity Order of metals in decreasing order: C > Al > D > Zn > A > Fe > B > Cu > Ag
