Dear Student
According to law of conservation of energy, total mechanical energy for a free fall object remains constant.
Kinetic energy changes to potential energy and potential energy change into kinetic energy but sum of both remains constant during fall.
So
a)
When ball it hits the ground, P.E. = 0
K.E. = Total energy = 80 J
B)
At point B
Total energy = K.E. + P.E
80 = 48 + P.E.
P.E. =32 J
C) Conservation of Mechanical Energy
