Dear student,
The answer is as follows :-
To obtain a distinct image on the screen the student should move the lens towards the screen because in order to obtain a sharp image the screen should be near the lens and the object is at distance so it means that we can get a sharp image only when the screen is near the lens .
Hence , the correct answer is towards the screen .
