Solution
The Magnetic field lines around a straight conductor carrying current are concentric circles whose centres lie on the wire. The direction of magnetic field lines can be determined using the Right-Hand Thumb Rule.

Hold a current-carrying conductor in your right hand with your thumb in the direction of the current, the direction of the field lines will be the direction of your fingers.
The direction of the field at P is perpendicular to the plane of the paper and going into it.
