Dear student.

Usually in books and movies, secret agents are depicted as rather good-looking, fit, agile. They are shown to have extraordinary physical strength and are experts at any skill possibly imaginable! They are suave, have a style of their own and stand out in a crowd. Take the example of James Bond: a master of all skills! In books, the detectives are shown with keen intelligence and exceptional deductive skills: be it Sherlock Holmes or Poirot. In real life, Ausable was shown to be a rather ordinary looking person: fat and sloppy. He did not fit the romantic bill of a fictional detective or secret agent. But, this must have allowed Ausable to blend in with the crowd and also to fool his adversaries into undermining his capabilities. He was actually gifted with a sharp presence of mind.
