Solution: This picture is related to Salt March which started on 12 march 1930 from Sabarmati ashram to Dandi.
Gandhi ji started this march through a movement known as the Civil Disobedience movement.
The reasons for the movement were the following:
(i) to abolish the monopoly of Britishers over salt production and remove the salt tax.
(ii) To support the idea of full independence proposed by Jawaharlal Nehru.
(iii) This movement started in 1930 and ends in 1934.
